Nicole Stricker

Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia

Nicole Stricker's Bio

Nicole Stricker is a single mother of two beautiful and intelligent young children, a 4 year old little girl, Ellyana and 6 year old boy, Braeden. These children are the heart and soul of Nicole’s life. She is currently employed with the Weigh Station as a Teen Peer Coordinator. She is in the end process of finishing her degree of Human Services at HCC, and plans to transfer from there to obtain her Bachelor Degree.

Nicole was sick on and off for 3 weeks before being diagnosed with APL (Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia) on April 9, 2013. She is currently undergoing treatment at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Her treatment is expected to last until the end of July as long as she does not have complications.  Aggressive chemotherapy is the only treatment for APL. Nicole will be spending the majority of the time in the hospital until that time. Nicole seems to be fighting this horrific disease with every ounce of courage she has in hopes she will be able to see her children soon.
