Dale Wireman's Bio

Dale Wireman was born and raised in Frederick County, MD. She was a graduate of Catoctin High School and lived in Thurmont for more than 30 years. She then moved to Funkstown, MD where she resides now. She has two grown children, Tiffany Harshbarger and Travis Wireman who are a great support to her and help her tremendously.

Dale went to cosmetology school and worked as a hairdresser in Frederick Maryland for a number of years. She later found work in the hospitality business and worked at the famous Cozy Inn in Thurmont MD, The Comus Inn in Dickerson, MD, Banquet Manager/Catering Manager for Watsons and Cornucopia Catering, Sales Director at The Holiday Inn in Frederick, Wedding Coordinator for The Catoctin Inn in Buckeystown, MD, and General Manager at The Country Inn and Suites in Hagerstown, MD. She also could be seen helping her daughter and son in law at The Purple Iris in Martinsburg, WV. Dale loved working in the hospitality industry but was forced to stop working due to her chronic illness and was placed on disability.

Dale has a passion for helping people and would love to educate others battling her disease. She also enjoys gardening, traveling, cruising, decorating, planning events, and spending time with her precious family and friends.

Dale was diagnosed with COPD/Chronic Obstructed Pulmonary Disease and was forced to stop working. Over the past 5 years Dale has been struggling to breathe and do the things she once enjoyed so much. Daily tasks are a chore and she was put on oxygen therapy. In November 2016 with her disease advancing to stage 4 COPD her doctor referred her to Johns Hopkins for a double lung transplant. She underwent a series of testing to see if she would be a good candidate for a lung transplant and on April 4, 2017 Dale was officially listed on the transplant list. She is currently awaiting the call that could provide her with a new lease on life.

With the loss of income it has been very hard for her with the everyday financial obligations as well as all her medical bills. We hope through continuing efforts of her friends and family we can help ease the stress of how to pay the bills by raising money to help her and her family through these difficult times.

Please continue to pray for her and her journey to breathe easy once again. All donations and support would be kindly appreciated.
