Jennifer Hall won her first battle with
cancer which surfaced in March of 2006.
That cancer was found in her breasts and
she first underwent significant
chemotherapy and radiation. After her
body had recovered from this treatment,
she took the further step of having the
surgical procedure called a diep flap
where her breast were removed and
reconstructive surgery using stomach
tissue was performed. The hope was,
through this additional step, that
reoccurrence of the cancer would not
occur.
In November of 2009, just short of her
35th birthday, Jennifer was told that
the cancer had reoccurred however this
time it had further metastasized to her
liver. She is currently under treatment
by a team of doctors at the Maryland
University Cancer Center. The critical
concern is to keep this vital organ
functioning properly while at the same
time attempting to attack the cancer and
reverse it’s spread.
Jennifer Hall is the mother of two boys,
Dylan (known as DY) 12 and Dawson 9. She
and her husband Marcus, are thoroughly
devoted in raising their sons to become
fine young men. One of their passions is
baseball and while Marcus coaches them
on the field, Jennifer will always stand
out as head cheerleader and coach in the
stands. Their family is one of strong
faith and conviction and are very active
in their church.
As with many families who need to make
ends meet, Jennifer is one of two
working parents. She is a licensed
cosmetologist and thoroughly enjoys her
work and her customers. Unfortunately,
because of the nature of the cancer she
is battling and the program of treatment
to attack it, she now faces the loss of
a full week of work after each
treatment. This on top of co-pays,
medical expenses not covered, and
prescription costs, makes for difficult
financial hardship on the family.
Through the kindness and generosity of
family, friends and others, we hope to
be able to provide enough financial
assistance to take that worry off of
their minds so that they can concentrate
on once again winning the battle against
this disease. We ask that you please
consider contributing to our effort and
that you understand that no gift is too
small in this effort.
Thank You!!!
